Endeca Experience Manager - Preview & Audit Workflow

Endeca OOTB Preview Workflow steps:
     1)  BCC Merchandiser will change the content(Category/Product/SKU etc..) and push it to the Stage workflow 
     2)  BCC Merchandiser use workflow and push content from Stage to Production
     3)  Run Endeca Index. It can be kicked off in two ways  
                       - On BCC project deployment
                       - Scheduled indexing (http://ravihonakamble.blogspot.com/2015/07/how-to-schedule-endeca-index-using-atg.html)
     4) An Authoring MDEX, where Workbench users preview & Audit their Experience Manager content, Thesaurus, etc. 
     5) Validate content on Stage Preview ATG Store instance pointing at Authoring MDEX
     6) Promotion process from Authoring to Live/Production MDEX takes place when you run the /opt/app/endeca/apps/APPNAME/control/promote_content.sh shell script
  7) Endeca XM Content available to the Live user through ATG Live Store  instances

    Ravi, This is helpful. If the business creates several changes in Experience manager but we only want to move one of those changes to the Live instance how can that be done? Thank you.

    Hi Eric,

    Oracle BCC is version controlled and user can push specific projects from Stage to Production whereas in Endeca it is not available. Even if you take a route of customization it will be huge effort.

      Hi,

      Your Preview instance needs to point to Authoring Dgraph instead of Live Dgraph to show content on save.

      Hi Shreyas,

      Hope you have added Preview and audit code in JSP's and also enabled using below component:

      /atg/endeca/assembler/cartridge/manager/AssemblerSettings/
      auditEnabled=true
      previewEnabled=true

      Figured out that PreviewUserStateBuilder had to set the workspaceid and preview date, it works fine [given all other pre-conditions are met]

    If we set the same priority to two pages which page will get picked up? Recently I was debugging an issue and found out that two pages were set with same priority and the it was picking up the one based on the alphabetical sort order. Is this a defined/predictable behavior?

    Hi Ravi,

    I am facing an issue with previewing the scheduled content in endeca XM, When i am clicking on the audit button on preview page it shows me a table where i can see the status of the scheduled content as "Time trigger not satisfied". And so i am not able see the scheduled content.

    Any idea what is going wrong here. Appreciate your help.
